The Mareeba Heritage Museum contains over 25 years’ worth of collections and more than 6,000 items. These pieces are displayed in interior and exterior spaces, and visitors are welcome to explore, learn and engage and play.
The best way to see and experience the Mareeba Heritage Museum is to take our 1-hour Museum Highlights Tour. This guided tour provides an excellent introduction to the Museum and brings the history of our area alive! Our Museum Curator tells Mareeba history in her very own special way and is known to tell the story differently each time!
To really maximise your visit, we highly recommend pre-booking a ‘Museum Highlights’ tour. Hosted by Mary, these tours last approximately 1-hour and are conducted between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Wednesday.
