Held over three days – 26th, 27th & 28th May 2021. The multi award-winning field days is the largest field days in Northern Australia – and it’s all for charity!

The program starts at 9.30 am with a parade, followed by non-stop entertainment including Aboriginal, Torres Strait, PNG, Filipino, Italian, Spanish, Albanian, Greek, Polynesian and Australian performers. Food stalls and craft stalls from a range of cultures, and the perfect weather in Mareeba at this time of the year, make this a day out not to be missed.
The program ends at 5pm. Admission is free with a range of donated prizes drawn throughout the day. Winners must be present at the time of the draw.
This is a chance for visitors to attend a major local community event.
Savannah in the Round is unlike any other festival. Main Stage is inside the rodeo arena, with a floored mosh pit, camp chair area and brand new tiered outdoor arena seating. Your festival armband allows you to choose your area or move between all three to best take in the Main Stage performances (taking place between 4pm and 12am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Savannah in the Round will also program two support stages; the Bull Bar and Bronc Bar – both of which will operate across the day, and after Main Stage until 2am.
Bowls Club bar open for refreshments; raffles; post game entertainment with live ban “GT”.

Take a morning or late afternoon walk through Mareeba’s Pioneer Cemetery as our local Historian shares stories and tales. Following our 1.5h walk we make our way back to the Mareeba Heritage Museum where we will enjoy a hot breakfast on the veranda of Jamieson House.
