The Mareeba Heritage Centre offers a beautiful setting for your next event. Our function spaces include our large back deck, which overlooks the Museum’s displays, and the more intimate Jamieson House deck and meeting rooms. This enables us to provide the perfect venue for events large and small, be they business or club events, weddings, engagement parties and more.

Our character surrounds and comfortable furnishings ensure a peaceful and inviting venue. WiFi access is available throughout the Centre and there is disabled access. We’re located in Centenary Park Mareeba and are open 7 days. For Gatherings Large & Small BEAUTIFUL DECKS & PLACES

The Mareeba Heritage Centre has two stately timber decks available for functions and event hire. The larger of the two is our expansive back deck, which is ideal for standing cocktail functions of 40 – 200 guests or a sit-down banquet of 110. It’s a covered but open-air space, overlooking the Museum’s displays. The back deck is available for hire for after-hours events from 5pm by application. In the past it has hosted business and club conferences, meetings, training and workshops, banquet dinners, wedding receptions, cocktail parties and more.

For smaller affairs, consider the Jamieson House Deck, which is suitable for standing or casual functions of up to 40 guests. The Jamieson House Deck can be booked on its own, or in conjunction with the adjacent Jamieson House ‘Dining Room’ – which is perfect for meetings – and used as a breakout space for meals and refreshments. The elegant ‘Dining Room’ accommodates 6-8 guests and is an ideal space for meetings, presentations and small training workshops. This room has air conditioning, natural filtered light and is fitted with a whiteboard for presentations. The Jamieson House function spaces are available for hire separately or together, between 9am and 4pm weekdays by application.
