The Mareeba Heritage Centre launches a video aimed at attracting visitation to Mareeba and showcasing Mareeba as part of the Let’s Meet in Mareeba Video Series.
“The name Mareeba is derived from an Aboriginal word meaning “meeting of the waters” or “place to meet.”
The short video promotes the region as a vibrant town with 300 days of sunshine each year, breathtaking landscapes, rugged gorges, savannah grasslands, a plethora of birdlife, plantations, wineries, bull wrangling, dancing and just a little bit of wild!
The Mareeba Heritage Centre team encourages visitors to start at the Mareeba Heritage Museum and Visitor Information Centre to ask where they can find Mareeba’s best attractions, sights, tastes, sounds and experiences!
At Mareeba you can slow down, get high, take in the big picture and get carried away all from the one meeting place!
Filmed and produced by experienced photographer, Brad Newton. A Cairns local Brad’s passion for the region will help viewers tap into their imagination and entice them to find the places depicted in the film.
