It was our pleasure to guide a very special guest through our Heritage Museum.  

On Sunday 15th September, ‘The Bearded One’ a popular social media influencer spent several hours touring the Mareeba Heritage Centre. Hosted by Centre Manager Sandrine Gloton and Museum Curator Mary Thompson, the Bearded One was proudly shown what makes the Mareeba Heritage Centre so special for visitors and locals alike. Throughout his tour of the Museum, Mary turned on all of her story-telling prowess to give the Bearded One a first-hand account of what it was like to be a part of Mareeba History. With stories from Goats to Ghosts, Mary kept the Bearded One thoroughly entertained as they toured the Centre.

Mareeba Heritage Centre Manager, Sandrine Gloton, said she thoroughly enjoyed having the Bearded One visit the Centre. I am sure that he (the Bearded One) had a fantastic time touring the Heritage Centre and that he was impressed at just how rich and diverse Mareeba’s History is.
